The IAHD Advanced Open Water Diver provides an Open Water Diver with a structured, well-supervised means of gaining additional diving experience. By participating in various tasks, the novice diver gains a broader awareness of the underwater environment, thus improving the individual’s diving capabilities.
Based upon the individual’s ability to complete the exercises required for each of the dives, this will determine the added safety measures that will be stated on his or her certification card.
