Surface Support Specialist

This is a non-diving level of certification to enable the Surface Support Specialist to assist disabled divers into and out of the water and to monitor their diving.

Prerequisites

• Must be an experienced swimmer.

Minimum age

• 16 years

A variety of different disabilities are considered, with training in the classroom, the pool and in open water.

• Log book: from £5.95
• Site entrance fee: There is an entrance fee for open water dives requiring entry to an inland site, payable daily by the student. Current fees: Horsea Island: £10.00.
