PADI Deep Diver

The recommended recreational depth limit for divers is 30m according to PADI, with 40m as an absolute maximum. Special training prepares you for deep diving in conditions as good as or better than those in which you trained or have experience. This course covers the theory and techniques of deep diving in detail.

Prerequisite qualifying courses

  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization).

Minimum age

  • 15 years.

  • Theory and techniques of deep diving in detail.
  • 4 dives.

What it will cost, and what you’ll need

  • Course fee: £159.00 - £125.00 if booked when buying a Suunto dive computer from Andark.
  • Manual: £15.00 (reduced from £16.95 if bought alongside the course).
  • Site entrance fee: There is an entrance fee for open water dives requiring entry to an inland dive site, payable daily by the student. Current fees: Horsea Island: £10.00, Stoney Cove or Vobster Quay £15.00. Boat fees from £15.00 per dive.
  • Mask, Snorkel, Boots and Fins (Gloves are also recommended for the winter months). Student discounts available on all these items in the Andark shop.
  • Medical Declaration (details on Course Booking and Payment page).
  • Proof of qualification and experience, (log book and cards), must be provided on day one of the course.

Notes

All courses run from 9am to 5:30pm (approximately) and a minimum of 3 people is required for a course to run, unless otherwise stated.

  2. Download and complete the booking form, and return to us by post.
  3. Download and complete the medical declaration form, and return to us by post.
